During this course learners will have the opportunity to: - Identify everyday risks and dangers at home or in the community. - Develop knowledge of staying safe whilst helping someone. - Identify and practice basic first aid treatments for a variety of common situations. - Recognise when help is needed and what to do in an emergency. - Develop knowledge of how to call the emergency services. - Apply ICT, number, communication, reading and writing skills to projects and displays. - Improve confidence and social skills through participation in group discussions, role play and activities.
