Drawing & Painting - Colour Mixing & Blending Techniques

UPDATED 20150728 15:18:51

During the course we will look at some relevant colour theory and basic colour principles; how to make a huge range of colours from a limited primary palette, including tertiary colours, and beautiful chromatic greys. Through a series of exercises and more developed paintings we will consider 'local' versus directly observed colour and how we see it; colour interaction and optical mixing; colour as expression and subject. Looking at the work of well - known artists through the centuries will be inspirational and informative as well as enabling us to identify our own personal response to colour
