Drawing & Painting - Acrylic Techniques

This will be an inspiring painting course designed to suit individual interests and abilities with demonstrations by the tutor and advice on materials and techniques. The course begins by developing your core drawing & painting skills, exploring shapes and colour values in a still life; creating recession and perspective in a landscape; learning about composition; creating a semi - abstract painting; experimenting with acrylic painting techniques and learning about the traditional craft of painting.

Acrylic (medium bodied) paints (students): Titanium White, Ultramarine, Cadmium Red, Cadmium Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Raw Umber, Burnt Sienna, Alizarin Crimson.Acrylic Long handled brushes: No. 1 Round, No.4 Filbert, No.6 Flat; Tear - off palette or stay - wet palette or white plate; Palette knife; Approx. A3 acrylic paper, panel or canvas; 3B pencil; putty rubber; A5 or A4 sketch book or cartridge paper.Paper Towel or rags. (Other items might be required later.)
