This qualification is the final step towards becoming a qualified mechanic with the Level 3 technical certification, opening doors to a range of employment opportunities in the industry. The course units cover all the skills and knowledge required to: Diagnose and rectify vehicle engine system and component faults Inspect vehicles Diagnose and rectify vehicle chassis systems and component faults Diagnose and rectify auxiliary equipment electrical faults Diagnose and rectify transmission faults The course also involves topics such as materials fabrication and job roles in the automotive work environment. You will study both the theory and practical aspects of light vehicle maintenance including health and safety and other skills associated with working in a garage or main dealership.
