The Level 1 Award in Plumbing has been developed for delivery in a training environment and has been designed to: develop student’s skills and knowledge at this level, prepare students to enter the industry in their chosen craft, prepare students to take further qualifications to develop their skills, knowledge and understanding within their chosen craft. The course consists of a number of mandatory and optional units which include: Introduction to health and safety in Construction Removing and refitting water-filled radiators Working with non-manipulative fittings Introduction to the construction industry Bending and jointing copper pipes Connecting pipes and fittings to appliances Constructing combined frames Installing rain water goods Working with low carbon steel pipes and fittings
