Do you currently have spare time now that your children have started full time school?  Have you been volunteering at your local school?  Are you looking for a career change?  Our Teacher Training Academy has a suite of qualifications just for you.   Our Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools qualification will improve your knowledge, skills and employability. The course is suitable if you are working or volunteering in roles that support pupils' learning, including teaching assistants, learning support assistants and special needs assistants.  You can choose from a Certificate at Level 2, Diploma at Level 3 or an Apprenticeship Pathway.  Your entry point will depend on your current qualifications, experiences and your role in a school. If you have already achieved your Level 2 or have gained six months or more experience in a supporting role in a school, our Advanced Diploma may be the right course for you.  You will develop further knowledge and skills to support teaching and learning in schools effectively and to be able to act on your own initiative.  You will develop your knowledge of child development, equality and diversity, safeguarding, health and safety, communication skills, professional relationships in school settings, and principles and practice in supporting learning activities and behaviour.  You will also explore roles and responsibilities across the school and develop your skills in supporting assessment for learning.
