Acrylics Beginners I

On this course you will learn the basics of Acrylic painting. You will look at a range of artists throughout the course to help you to develop a variety of approaches. You will cover a range of subject matters, such as natural landscapes, flowers and abstract painting. You will have an opportunity to discuss these with your tutor at the beginning of the course and to develop ideas for your own piece in the second half of the course. You will learn: How to mix colours and understand colour theory What brush control is and how acrylic paint works as an artistic medium How to approach different styles of painting and paint application techniques What composition skills are You will also study a brief history of painting using acrylics.
