Try A New Hobby: Upcycling is a series of 5 friendly stand-alone 2 hour workshops which cover specific areas of needlecraft. You can enrol for all five workshops or pick n mix to suit your own areas of interest. The workshops are as follows: Week 1. Cushion Covers Use scraps of fabric or old clothes to create a brand new cushion cover. Please bring along fabric you have available (stuffing and cushion inner not provided). Week 2. Photo frames and Mirrors Add sequins, beads, decoupage or buttons to uplift your old photo frames and mirrors. Please bring along an old photo frame and mirror. Week 3. Lampshades Create a brand new look for your old lampshades through adding embellishments. Please bring along an old lampshade frame and any fabric you have available. Week 4. Tops, dresses or trousers Re-vamp your wardrobe by learning how to add embellishments to your old clothes giving them a new look. Please bring along an old item of clothing and any embellishments you think might come in handy. Week 5. Bags Learn how to make a simple bag out of old clothes. Please bring along any old clothes or fabric you do not mind cutting up.
