The City&Guilds level 3 Engineering (Fabrication and Welding) is a unitised program of study that is predominately practical based with a high level of workshop time, the classroom activity is all directly related to the practical aspects of the course and designed to give you the required knowledge and skills to work as a Fabricator/ Welder. City&Guilds require the learner to study and complete assessments in the following areas in order to complete the course. 4 Mandatory units: 301- Engineering Health and Safety. 302- Principles of Engineering. 305- Principles in Fabrication and Welding. 314- Fabricating Sheet Metalwork. In addition to these units the learner must also complete 2 further units from the options below. 310- Fabricating Sheet Metalwork. 311- MIG Welding of Materials. 312- TIG Welding of Materials. 316- Pattern Development for Fabrication.
