This course offers an opportunity to gain some of the necessary skills required to work in the media industry. You will use software packages such as Final Cut Pro, Microsoft Office and Photoshop. Learn by doing work based projects where you are required to research, plan and present a ‘live’ project. On the course you will study subjects such as ‘Exploring Digital Photography’, ‘Developing Video Products’ and ‘Developing Animation’ to improve your knowledge and professionalism in various areas of the media. In addition to the main qualification you will also be expected to study Functional Skills in Maths and English. You will be expected to spend approximately 15 hours each week studying in College. The course is made up of 14 units, one core unit 'Improving Productivity Using IT' and other units are chosen from a range to suit the needs of the learners.
