Internet TV news each week for listening practice shared reading of 1 or 2 chapters of a French novel in small groups each week. Grammar: revision of past historic/subjunctive and other grammar points as they arise. By the end of the AUTUMN TERM you will have: consolidated your use of most of the tenses. - started to improve an argument. - read one work of fiction in French. By the end of the SPRING TERM you will have: - better understanding of broadcast spoken French. - enriched a range of grammar structures in your writing and speaking. - consolidated your listening and speaking skills. By the end of the SUMMER TERM you will have: - developed your knowledge of French regional customs and culture. - extended your conversation skills through a variety of different speaking activities in small groups. - improved your use of idioms and colloquialisms appropriate to social context and convention.
