At CALAT, you can take a cookery, baking or cake decorating course leading to a qualification or simply for fun. Our course programmes have been established over many years and our learners have won national awards as well as achieving excellent results in accredited work. Subject Contents/Topics To Be Covered: Use of ingredients typical of Italian, French, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese and Indian cookery. Learn a variety of dishes from Italy, France, Spain, China, Japan and India. Use of correct food hygiene and safety practices. BY THE END OF THE COURSE YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO: Recognise and use ingredients typical to Italy, France, Spain, China, Japan and India. Cook a variety of dishes from the above countries. Explain and demonstrate awareness of food hygiene and safety.
