Cake Decorating (Stage 1)

We will make a selection of items: Cupcakes Victoria Sponge and Chocolate Gateau so that the learner can gain confidence in cake making as well as cake decorating so that all decorated work has been produced from scratch. The different types of icing which are used in cake decorating: glace butter cream fondant melted chocolate ganache etc will be made and applied to the finished goods with the beginnings of piping work for application.We will learn the art of melting and tempering chocolate to make chocolate curls and decorations for the gateau.The learner will produce a variety of treats to take home.
