The course will blend academic rigour and the development of practical skills. Students will investigate key strategic decisions that are made by small, medium and large enterprises in the face of new economic and challenges and opportunities which include:China & India as emerging economic powers, The importance of Corporate social responsibility, Driving efficiency, for instance, by means of improved waste management or via off-shoring. Furthermore, students will also generate a thorough understanding of the fundamental divisions within most businesses. Students will also undertake a personal investigation into a chosen area of interest, which will involve working closely with a local business. This personal investigation represents 25% of the final grade.
