Easy to Make Fancy Dress

Fancy Dress can be made simple by using & adapting a basic shape -e.g. a circle or rectangle of material. If material does not fray then very little sewing is needed. Can even use fabric glue or tape. Learn to make a quick costume for your child and learn how to adapt sizing to suit an adult. No pattern required. Children will be given colouring or sewing projects related to costume. Useful for those times when a costume is urgently needed!

Entry requirements

If you have 3 metres of material you especially want to use, bring it in. Tutor will have some material for class use - maybe not in required colour. Tape measures, scissors will be provided. There will be an ironing board & iron. Tutor will have some fabric glue, sticky back Velcro, sewing needles and some thread. If you or your child would like to embellish a T-shirt to be part of the costume -then bring one in. Felt (or similar) will be provided for the shape cutting.
