BTEC Applied Science is aimed at students who want to continue developing an understanding of all three sciences within a vocational context. In the first year of the Subsidiary Diploma, you will complete three units. Fundamentals of Science, where you will study the basic building blocks of the three core Science disciplines – from chemical reactions to energy transfer. Biochemistry, where you will develop an understanding of the biological molecules in living organisms. And Scientific Practical Techniques, where you will develop practical skills in a wide range of areas. "
