Language students are superb communicators, resilient and reflective learners and very good team players. Linguists are very employable. Once you have learnt one language to a high standard it becomes far easier to learn a second or a third, something recognised by companies looking to fund further study for posts that need languages other than the one you have studied. In a country not famed for being good at languages, by studying one you will stand out from the crowd. A sixth form exchange to Andalucia in the South of Spain is offered if numbers permit.
