AS-A2 Combined Arts

This course allows you to develop your existing art skills to an A level standard, you will explore a range of 2D and 3D media, processes and techniques, which you will combine together. This AS level course can be taken alongside a selection of other AS subjects, up to five, to make up a full time programme or in combination with an advanced BTEC programme. To achieve a high grade in this subject it is essential that you are self motivated and organized enough to complete a minimum of five hours self-directed study each week.

Entry requirements

Yes, you will need to buy a couple of good quality sketchbooks and an A1 plastic portfolio to store work in, plus other items such as memory sticks, pens, pencils, paints and brushes. You must also purchase mount board to professionally present your 2D artwork for assessment; the College Shop has a good art section where materials can be purchased at discounted prices. A plastic portfolio is provided to store your sketchbooks and 2D work at College.
