Public Services Level 3

This course will prepare you for working in the uniformed services through visiting speakers, trips to bases, meeting various public services personnel and experience of expeditions and residential camps. The College has close links with the Armed Forces Careers Office, the Cambridgeshire Constabulary and HMP Peterborough. Alongside this the College offers public services learners the opportunity to gain valuable work experience through voluntary and charity work opportunities and through working with the College in-house security team. You will study subjects such as: - Team leadership - Contemporary society and the public services - Team development - Understanding discipline - Physical preparation and fitness - Outdoor and adventurous activities - Uniformed public service employment - Understanding the criminal justice system and police powers - Volunteering - Work experience You will also get the opportunity to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh or join the Army Cadets.
