This 'Fitsteps' course in Sittingbourne is a group-based and fun way to work out, improving cardiovascular/aerobic fitness using Ballroom Dance favourites. You will learn and practice a sequence to a variety of music. Regular attendance will improve or help to maintain your stamina and suppleness and generally give you a sense of wellbeing. You will be taught the health benefits of cardiovascular exercise and muscular strength, performance technique and movement to music and encouraged to practice at home. By the end of this course you should be able to: Perform a fitness sequence and/or routines to music with some guidance, Identify specific exercises for personal use outside of the class, You will need to be able to follow verbal instructions, observe and copy physical movements and use spatial awareness within a group. This is a mixed ability course that is suitable for beginners and those with some experience.

Entry requirements

Denim jeans, formal trousers, shorts, skirts or dresses are not suitable for this activity. Sports trainers are needed to support the feet and ankles. Outdoor sandals, shoes or boots are not appropriate for this class. Please bring water and avoid eating one and a half hours prior to exercising.
