Do you want to be able to use your Italian in a range of real life situations? Then this Italian Intermediate course is for you. This 25 week Italian course in Canterbury follows on from our Italian Beginners Plus course and is for anyone who wants to develop their skills further. Successful students will be able to: Describe (people, places, situations, events etc), Exchange/extract key information on a variety of topics/situations, Give and follow specific instructions, Make simple arrangements, Express an opinion, Listen and respond to information from a range of sources (telephone messages, news headlines/public announcements, instructions, conversations), Grasp general meaning of written material (e-mails, mobile text messages, letters, notices, leaflets etc), Deal with emergencies, problems and complaints, Grammar will be expanded. You will learn to use expressions and forms appropriate to the language using present, future and some past tenses. You will be given small amounts of homework (1 hour max) each week to reinforce classroom learning. For anybody who has attended one of our Beginners Plus courses and/or is looking to improve the practical speaking and listening skills needed to cope with a range of real life situations more complex than those at Beginners Plus level. If you are unsure carry out our self-assessment test available on www.kentadulteducation.co.uk or speak to a Programme Manager. Students should already be able to understand and respond in the language using a range of routine structures and commonly used expressions including the past and future tense, read to extract general and specific information, write to produce simple text. Students should have a grasp of grammar such as comparatives, superlatives, conjunctions and regular and irregular verbs. Students may be able to join the course after it has started if they have appropriate knowledge. The Programme Manager will be able to advise.
