Come along and create your own hare sculptures using wire, willow and papier mache. During this course we will be focused on sculpture made from materials that have been joined together. Learn all about the elements of sculpture, what they mean and how they translate into your final piece. We will be looking at mass, space, plane, line, movement, texture, colour, relief, scale, purpose, site and cost/ value. You will have the opportunity to explore various small maquette hare forms then creating this into a large piece. You will begin your final piece by learning how to secure an armature (internal framework) secure structure on which to weave, bend and fold your chosen medium and watch your creation take shape. Learning to work to health and safety guidelines. Beginners and those with experience. It is important to note that craft courses are practical and require a degree of manual dexterity.
