Street Photography - An Introduction

UPDATED 20150720 11:24:04

The course will provide a broad introduction to the digital camera. It is aimed at cameras with an advanced range of functions e.g. Digital SLR, and will not be appropriate for owners of simple 'point and shoot' cameras. It aims to introduce students to the techniques and skills necessary to take good urban and street scenes around Gravensend and in the local areas. Street photography captures the spirit and movement of the streets - it seeks out interesting and artistic angles on the mundane and ordinary to turn it or them into the extraordinary. Join us on a journey around local streets seeking out a Banksy moment where the ugly turns into beautiful. We don't expect everyone to be to be totally technically adept but we do want to concentrate on developing the creative side of your photography. Students who have an advanced digital camera and wish to learn more about its functionality.
