Learn how to use the sewing machine for free embroidery, exploring mark-making, colour and texture. You will also be shown how to translate drawings and other images into fabric and thread. Machine embroidery can be used to decorate or enhance clothing and soft furnishings or to create unique art work. By the end of this course you should be able to: Translate a drawing, or other image, into embroidery. Use the sewing machine to create stitched images. Make reference to other artists using similar techniques. Work to health and safety guidelines. Everyone from beginners to those with some experience, who is interested in exploring textile processes.
