What is the Crown Court? What types of cases are heard in the Crown Court? Are you interested in what goes on inside the Courtroom? Do you want to know how to address people in Court and why? Who are the different Court personnel in the Crown Court? What are the differences between the Magistrates Court and Crown Court? In addition, we will look at Crown Court trials and the jury selection process. At the end of the course students will: Have a better understanding of different Courts in England and Wales;, Be more aware of who the legal personnel in the Courts are;, be able to identify what types of cases are heard in the Crown Court;, have a greater understanding of Crown Court trials and the role of the jury. This should be a fun, interesting and informative day course for any individual interested in learning more about the law. No previous knowledge or qualifications are required. Students should be prepared to participate in discussions.
