A Day of Flower Painting

This course is a good introduction into the skills and techniques of painting flowers. Students will learn about various artists and influences. Students will be able to: Use paint and understand how it behaves, Demonstrate blending and application of the medium. Produce a range of sketches, Complete paintings using the above techniques. Have an awareness of Health and Safety guidlines, Beginners, absolute beginners and those with experience.

Entry requirements

If you are a new student and have no materials please wait for your tutor's advice on what to buy. However, all students should bring an A4 sketchbook of good quality cartridge paper, preferably with a hard cover and ring bound and a variety of pencils.You will need to provide your own materials and these will vary in cost according to the course requirements. Some of our centres have their own 'shops' where you are able to buy things at competitive prices.If you have any materials/equipment that might be appropriate please bring them with you. There will be a small charge between £2 and £4 for paper and pastels if you dont have any, payable on the day to the tutor.
