UPDATED 20150720 11:16:25

Students on this course will be using fabric which has special meaning to them to create their own beautiful and completely unique memory blanket. A wonderful way to preserve the fabric from favourite childrens clothes, outfits you no longer wear, curtains or duvet covers from a fondly remembered room, T-shirts or tea towels from places you have visited or just fabric that you have loved but never used. By the end of the course you should be able to :- Be aware of and work to relevant Health and Safety guidelines. Thread up and use a variety of stitches on a sewing machine. Make and press an open seam. Use an overlocker to neaten seams. Applique a motif using a sewing machine. Absolute beginners or those who want to brush up their basic skills and make a blanket/throw to cherish.
