This Certificate in Education and Training City and Guilds Level 4 course will provide training in teaching in the lifelong learning sector and is designed to cover the knowledge, understanding and skills required for session planning, negotiating learning goals, designing teaching, design and use of resources, and learning and assessment strategies. On this course, you will study six units which will cover such topics as: Understanding roles and responsibilities;, Planning to meet the needs of the learner;, Delivering education and training;, Assessing learners;, Using resources;, In addition, you will undertake an action research project in an area relevant to your own specialism. There is a requirement for a minimum of 30 hours of teaching practice and this must run concurrently with the course and you will need to evidence this through schemes of work, lesson plans, evaluations and resources.
