Reiki - Level 1

UPDATED 20150720 11:04:43

Reiki (pronounced Ray Key) is a combination of two Japanese words rei and ki meaning universal life energy. Reiki is an ancient laying-on of hands healing technique that uses the life force energy to heal, balancing the subtle energies within our bodies. Reiki addresses physical, emotional, mental and spiritual imbalances. Reiki is a spiritual path, re-connecting you with the power and peace within yourself. Usui Reiki was rediscovered by Dr Usui, a Buddhist monk in the 1880's in Japan, and this ancient healing system is passed on from Reiki Master Teachers across the world. There are many benefits of being empowered to Reiki. Good reasons to be empowered are that it helps relaxation, anxiety and self healing. This course in Tonbridge covers four Reiki empowerments to start the flow of Reiki energy within the students, how to 'tune in' to Reiki, the history of Reiki, The philosophy behind Reiki, What is healing? What is energy? the Charkra System, Energy cleansing Techniques, How to give a self treatment and a treatment to other person, animal or plant as well as learning a simple meditation technique to cleanse the mind. By the end of the course, individuals will be able to: 1. Explain what Reiki is and the benefits of being empowered to Reiki, 2. Apply Reiki healing to themselves via a self treatment, 3. Describe the Reiki philosophy and how it links to spirituality and the energy Charkra system, 4. Apply the Hatsu Rei Ho meditation for self cleansing and healing, NB. After Level 1- Beginner, learners will only be able to do Reiki on themselves. If they wish to progress to Level 2 - Practitioner, Reiki Council guidelines will be followed if learners wish to become Reiki Practitioners. Please note there will no session on 19th November.
