The aim of the course is to introduce people to Transmedia Storytelling and Multiplatform writing. In the changing film and media industry the way people tell stories is changing due to the emergence of Social Media and Digital Technology. This course aims to give you an overview of these changes and to show how to develop an idea for a story that can be told on many platforms. This will be done by learning how to develop a brief, working on an actual project and writing one element of a storyworld, producing media content and then launching it via Social Media. By the end of the course you will be able to: Write a multiplatform brief, Produce media content and launch it on social media sites, Write a story for a multitude of different platforms. Pitch your idea. Beginners and those with more experience are welcome. New students may join at any time. It is important to note that this course is practical and requires a degree of IT awareness, manual dexterity and group work.
