TThe course picks out highlights from 1000 years of English History from AD 600 to 1600. it's history as a varied mosaic of colourful and interesting developments, starting with Kent leading a renaissance among Anglo-Saxon kingdoms and ending with the dramatic social changes of the Tudor period. In between, Anglo-Saxons, Norwegians, Danes and Normans fight for rule, Magna Carta epitomizes political and legal development, Foreign Affairs with Welsh, Scots, Irish and French have to be sorted out, the population booms then busts during the Black Death and the Peasants Revolt (several times). Suitable for all general interest students. No prior knowledge required.
