At its height, the Carolingian empire spanned a million sq. km. of western Europe and in its wake would rise the kingdoms of France and Germany. Charlemagne, the Carolingian Renaissance, women and aristocratic culture are some of the topics we will cover. Anyone interested in medieval history. No prior knowledge is necessary but a good understanding of English is essential. We want you to enjoy learning with us.
