Is it true'where there's blame, there's a claim??; do we live in a culture of litigiousness? Has the compensation culture gone overboard? Does the fear of litigation prevent people doing their jobs? We will be looking at these questions and looking at recent cases in the news . At the end of the course students will: Have a better understanding of why compensation is sought and sums being awarded;, Be more aware of fraudulent/exaggerated claims;, Be able to understand the impact the compensation culture has on our daily lives. This should be a fun, interesting and informal short course for any individual interested in learning more about this area of law
