A Day of Silver Clay

On this Jewellery course students will design and make individual items for jewellery using Precious Metal Clay. Create items that can be used for necklaces or bracelets for yourself or that can be given as gifts to friends and family. The silver clay can be cut and textured to designs you create or using ideas collected from books and magazines. Complete beginners and those with some experience.It is important to note that craft courses are practical and require a degree of manual dexterity. If you need to bring a carer with you, or be accompanied by another person, please ask to speak with the Progamme Manager.

Entry requirements

Please bring on the day: a sketchbook and pencil; any small icing cutters you may wish to use; any material for texturing, e.g. small piece lace, net, leaves. Cost of materials, ie PMC, silver wire and sheet, is included in the course fee. It is also possible to use copper or bronze clay to reduce the costs of larger items. If you have any beads you may like to bring them to class and use them in your project. If you have ideas for designs please bring tham along to show the tutor.
