A Day of Life Drawing

UPDATED 20150720 10:39:46

This is a one day course in Life Drawing. There will be a mixture of short drawing exercises and longer drawings. Teaching will be tailored to the individual needs of the students on the day. The day will be split into to a three hour and a two hour session with an hour dinner break. Please be aware models will be mostly unclothed. This session is held in an art room which used to be'the life room' in the days when this wonderful Art Deco-style building was an art college (from the 1930s until the 1960s). It is fully equipped with various sized drawing boards, easels, trestles and'donkeys' to allow students to draw at a standing position or sitting. This Life Drawing day is designed to cater for a wide range of students with various degrees of previous experience. A typical mix of students will include: practicing artists, complete beginners, students building portfolios and people who haven't drawn for some time and want'to get back into drawing again'. It is important to note that art courses are practical and require a degree of manual dexterity for you to participate fully and get the most out of the course.
