Students will be introduced to the craft of glass fusing, making fused glass pendants, which can later be worn threaded on a ribbon or leather thong. The tutor will discuss firing techniques and the students will decide on the finish of their jewellery based on this. The pieces will then be fired and returned the following week for collection. The material cost will depend on the project and the type of finding/attachment required - probably about £1 - £4 per piece. By the end of this course you should be able to: use tools and materials safely, design and construct a small item from glass, know how to add wire and/or foil to create effects, There is no qualification for this course. Those who would like to learn about the process of fusing glass and to make small items of jewellery.

If you already have a pair (or two) or ordinary DIY pliers, and/or your own glass cutter, please bring them along, but do not buy anything especially for the course.
