Drawing - Beginners and Improvers

This course will help to develop your skills and confidence in drawing in pencil and/or charcoal. The course will cover fundamental principles in drawing and you will be introduced to the work of a variety of artists. By the end of this course you should be able to: plan a composition and consider spatial relationships, draw more accurately from observation, draw using tone to establish structure and create solidity of form, draw using line and gesture, start to develop a personal approach to drawing. There is no set 'homework', but you are welcome to practise and do further work at home. There is no qualification for this course. This course is suitable for beginners and improvers.
