This 'Creative Writing - Introduction to Children's Stories' one day course in Maidstone is designed to provide students with an opportunity to write creatively in the genre of 'Children's Fiction', and also to share their own work with other writers in a safe and supportive environment. Using a variety of resources to inspire and stimulate writing, the course will enable students to explore different aspects of the genre and engage actively in reading and writing stories for children. By the end of the course, students will have: Identified the key elements of an effective children's story, Selected and used appropriate narrative techniques for the genre, Created believable characters and plot-lines to ensure reader engagement, Students should also be able to constructively evaluate their own and others? work. The course involves reading and note taking, but also provides a range of opportunities to write creatively and imaginatively. This course in Maidstone is for people with some experience of creative writing who wish to develop their skills in writing children's stories. Beginners are also welcome and will be given additional support if required.
