Calligraphy - Christmas Cards

This course will give you a taste of the art of beautiful writing, with a Christmas theme. The course is suitable for beginners and those with some experience. You will be taught how to write 3 different scripts, how to write in ink and paint, how to space and use different sized nibs correctly. By the end of the day, you will have some beautifully written poems/verses appropriate for Christmas, to take home. Beginners and those with a little experience of calligraphy.

Entry requirements

Please do not buy anything especially for the course until you have been contacted by the tutor, about a week before the course start date, with advice about what to bring. You will need a calligraphy type pen, ink (if it's a dipping pen), broad-nibbed felt pens, an HB pencil, a t-square or 12' ruler, eraser and a pad of inexpensive A3 paper. There is a cafe for refreshments, but it would be a good idea to bring a packed lunch.
