Make the most of Summer's floral abundance to create a variety of stylish arrangements for 'special? occasions. By the end of the course you should be able to: - create a variety of differing styles of floral arrangements focusing on the use of Summer flowers and foliage, - demonstrate a knowledge of the care and conditioning of plant material particularly summer flowers and foliages, - develop and display a knowledge of the mechanics used to make the, various designs, - incorporate design elements within the arrangements produced, Everyone is welcome to join this course. It is a good continuation from previous courses although it is also suitable for those new to the subject

Entry requirements

You will need to provide your own plant material i.e. flowers and foliage, containers, mechanics, floral foam and accessories (sometimes needed for the design) each week. Good pairs of scissors and secateurs, a notebook and pen and table covering are also needed together with a camera or smart phone to record your work each week. For the first session we will produce a design for a 'silver? celebration using a container of your own choice. Please bring a selection of flowers and foliage and any additional items which will tell the onlooker that the arrangement is for that celebration. Floral foam and basic mechanics are available to purchase in class.
