Learn to play simple to intermediate pieces, including a broad coverage of music theory, sight reading music and techniques for guitar. It is hoped that beginners will achieve the equivalent of Grade 1 (Trinity College of Music), with intermediate level students progressing to higher grades. By the end of the course you should be able to: Play technical exercises (including scales) at appropriate level. Play pieces of music (individual, duet, ensemble) at appropriate level. Understand and apply music theory at appropriate level. Sight read music at appropriate level. To benefit fully from this course, students are advised to practise the exercises and pieces in their own time. Beginners and intermediate level students.
