A Day of Indian Head Massage

A traditional technique working on the head, neck and shoulders to help relieve stress and tension. No prior knowledge or experience is needed. Students will work in pairs to give and receive head, neck and shoulder massage. By the end of the workshop students will be able to perform a simple shoulder and head massage, with guidance where necessary, for use in the home on family and friends. This is a hands-on taster day; an introduction to Indian Head Massage including benefits and contraindications of treatment and step-by-step instructions on how to give a treatment. Anyone interested in complementary therapies. Anyone interested in learning these massage skills to use on family and friends. Students and therapists with some experience of other therapies who wish to learn new technique. Indian Head Massage is not suitable for women in the first three months of pregnancy.

Entry requirements

Students will need to bring a small cushion, a large bath towel or a sarong and a hair band. Short nails help to perform massage movements. It will be necessary to remove earrings, chains and large rings. Please do not buy anything for the course.
