Furniture Restoration - Extra

A continuation furniture restoration course for students to develop restoration skills and work on a small project of their own choice. It is suitable for students of all levels of ability and experience including complete beginners. Students will work primarily on their own projects at their own speed with guidance and support. Aside from individual learning activities the course will include introductory experience of French polishing, veneering, matching antique surfaces, elements of design style, wood recognition, dealing with holes and gas, reproducing missing mouldings and carvings, casting plaster resin, using tools and structural repairs. The course will be suitable for students of all levels of ability and experience including complete beginners. The course requires a certain level of manual dexterity.
