Drawing and Painting - Improvers

If you would like a further challenge to improve your Drawing and Painting skills then this is the course for you. You will continue to develop your Drawing skills through still life work, colour will develop through personalised projects and any Landscape work and by looking at a range of male and female Artists you will develop an understnding of paint and composition in your work. Each project will be introduced with clear instruction and demonstration and sets out to be interesting and enjoyable. By the end of the course you will be able to: Use an Artist to develop and influence your personal projects, Develop a series of drawings and sketches for a painting, Use a range of different materials to develop still life work, Use colour in the landscape influenced by the Artists suggested by the tutor, Be aware of and work to relevant Health and Safety guidelines, Students who have some experience of drawing and painting and need to be challenged in the subject. It is important to note that Art courses are practical and require a degree of manual dexterity. If you need to bring a carer with you, or be accompanied by another person, please ask to speak with the Programme Manager before you enrol.

Entry requirements

You should bring an A4 sketchbook of good quality cartridge paper, preferably with a hard cover and ring bound and a variety of pencils.You will need to provide your own materials and these will vary in cost according to the course requirements. If you have any materials/equipment that might be appropriate please bring them with you.
