Drawing and Painting - Beginners and Improvers

This course will introduce beginners to the basics of drawing and painting, developing your skills and confidence. For those with more experience, you will learn new techniques and improve your skills further. Students will explore a variety of painting and drawing techniques and take inspiration from different artists and other sources to inform your work. By the end of the course, you should be able to: Demonstrate and understand relevant techniques . Demonstrate successful use of relevant tools, equipment and resources, Use appropriate methods to collect ideas, research and experimentation, Successfully review and evaluate your own work, Research and evaluate the work of others to inform your own work and development, Be aware of and work to relevant Health and Safety guidelines, There is no set 'homework', but you are welcome to practise and do further work at home. There is no qualification for this course. Beginners and those with some experience.

If you are a new student and have no materials please wait for your tutor's advice on what to buy. However, all students should bring an A4 sketchbook and a variety of pencils. You will need to provide your own materials and these will vary in cost according to the course requirements.
