Do you want to speak French more fluently and build on your conversational skills as well as be able to gain a deeper cultural understanding? Then this French Intermediate Plus course is for you. This 25 week French course in Gravesend follows on from our French Intermediate course and is for anyone who wants to speak more confidently in less predictable situations. By the end of the course, successful students should be able to: Communicate on a wider range of topics and be able to extract details accurately from various sources, Obtain information from more complex texts and deal with topics of a familiar/unfamiliar nature with the help of a dictionary, Produce text of varying length and for varying purposes using a combination of simple and more complex sentences, Begin to use the conditional tense, the subjunctive mood and the passive voice, Start to use colloquial expressions and appropriate style of language, Describe (people, places, situations, events etc), Exchange/extract key information on a variety of topics/situations, Give and follow specific instructions, Make simple arrangements, Express an opinion, Listen and respond to information from a range of sources (telephone messages, news headlines/public announcements, instructions, conversations), Grasp general meaning of written material (e-mails, mobile text messages, letters, notices, leaflets etc), Deal with emergencies, problems and complaints, Grammar will be expanded. You will learn to use expressions and forms appropriate to the language using present, future and some past tenses. You will be given small amounts of homework (1 hour max) each week to reinforce classroom learning. This course is suitable for those who have done French to Intermediate level and have the knowledge of the tenses and basic structure of the language and need fluency and conversation practice.
