French Intermediate - Conversation - Summer School

Do you want to speak French more confidently? Then this French Intermediate - Conversation course in Canterbury is for you. The aim of the course is to to give students the opportunity to consolidate their knowledge of the language and culture through enjoyable and interesting interaction. Students will build upon material covered in Year 3 and year 4 courses. A range of different topics will be introduced from everyday life and daily news, using articles from TV, radio, Internet and newspapers covering topics such as: education, environment, transport, science, sport, art, etc. Suggestions and ideas will be discussed at the beginning of the course. You will be given small amounts of homework each week (max 1hr) to reinforce classroom learning. By the end of the course successful students will be able to: participate in and communicate confidently on a range of situations, understand most of what is said by a native speaker in a range of predictable situations, use present, past and future tenses more accurately, read texts of varying difficulty with limited use of a dictionary, For those who wish to improve and consolidate their knowledge of French grammar and vocabulary in a variety of practical contexts as well as improve confidence and fluency. Students may be able to join the course after it has started if they have appropriate knowledge. The Programme Manager will be able to advise.
