Jewellery - Beginners - Make a Silver Ring

This one day Jewellery course, will enable you to learn the basic skills of jewellery making by means of producing a finished silver ring designed by you by the end of the day. This course will teach you how to anneal metal, texture through the milling technique, shaping and soldering metal to produce your silver ring. The cost of the silver for the ring is included in the cost of the course. This course is aimed at complete beginners or people who have had a little experience in jewellery making but would like a refresher day. It is important to note that craft courses are practical and require a degree of manual dexterity.

Entry requirements

You need to wear old clothes that can or may get dirty as this course is taught in a fully equipped jewellery and silversmithing workshop. Please do not wear any dangly jewellery (ie bangles, necklaces). Please have long hair tied back or up. You may wish to bring along a notebook and pen to take notes during the day.
