Advanced Glass Techniques - Print and Texture Masterclass

UPDATED 20150720 09:46:10

A chance to work with Pippa Stacey, a well-known professional glass artist. Students will be able to explore advanced techniques of Print and Texture in an experimental environment. The outcomes for this 6 week course will depend upon your experience and level of skill. The least experienced will produce a series of samples which will inform future work. The more experienced and ambitious may be able to produce a finished piece in the time available. On this course you will study: * traditional mark and print making skills on paper and apply these to glasswork, * try experimental printmaking on glass using various methods of application, * explore the effect of adding texture to glass by creating and working with single-use moulds, * apply individual working methods and existing skills to new techniques so moving glasswork to a higher level, * show an increased awareness of design through a personal body of work with visual imagery and annotation, This is a high level course for experienced glass students. It is only suitable for experienced students, such as those with Level 3 City and Guilds
