This course provides the main vocational education and training needed for people employed as technicians in an engineering discipline. It is student centred with a very practical bias. Mechanical Engineering is concerned with design, development, installation, operation and maintenance of just about anything that has moveable parts. Mechanical engineers apply their imaginations and professional skills to combine both theory and practice in a variety of situations. Units Modules studied include the six compulsory modules: * Engineering Fundamentals * Engineering Design * Analytical Methods for Engineers * Business Management Methods * Mechanical Principles * Project A further four specialist modules are also studied.
